Frankl Victor in many of his works wrote about the meaning of personal life.

«1. Man’s striving for the search and realization of the meaning of his life is a congenital motivational orientation of man, which acts as the main driver of the behavior and development of the individual.

2. The meaning is in the objective world; a person should not choose or "invent" it, but find it through the realization of oneself in life and activity.

3. The meaning of life is unique for every person. A person can make his life meaningful, realizing three main ways of his development and focusing on three groups of values:

- by the way that a person can give life - creative activity (values of creativity);

- by the fact that a person is included in the experience of values that he finds in the world (values of experience);

- through a position taken in relation to the fate and circumstances of his life, which he can not change (the values of the relationship).

4. The acquired meaning requires from a person his constant implementation, which leads to self-actualization of the person.

5. A person is free to find and realize the meaning of life, is free to take responsibility for his fate, even if his freedom is objectively limited by circumstances. This is possible due to the fundamental human qualities:

- Ability to self-transcendence - the possibility of a person’s mental exit beyond himself, in a direction to something that exists outside;

- Ability to self-exclusion - the ability in any situation to rise above yourself and over the situation, look at yourself from the outside.

6. An indispensable condition for a person’s mental health is a defined level of tension that arises between a person and an objective meaning localized in the external world that a person must realize.

Absence of meaning generates in a person a state of "existential vacuum", which is the cause of a variety of neuroses.

7. There is no meaning to life "in general" - there is a specific meaning of the life of a given person at a given moment. The meaning of life varies from situation to situation.

- It is impossible for a person to embrace the "super-sense" of the world, but such "super-sense" exists. It is carried out independently of the lives of individuals. "
