The two-hour meeting, consisting of six questions, is better written as six questions: six cases.

Namely, divide the day into four conditional parts: morning to work, work before lunch, work after lunch, evening after work. Which part of the day did you remember more quickly and easily, what was in the fog and remembered with difficulty? During the development of time management, this information will be very necessary for you, while just fix it for yourself: a good memory speaks about the development of this period of time and affairs, memory failures and difficulties in recall usually indicate fatigue, things you can not cope with, and about work that you do not like.

Perhaps someone has summed up too general descriptions. "Preparing a position for negotiations" is a good formulation, but too general. Specifically, it would be:

• Check with the boss.

Another thing is that for the convenience of memorizing, private matters make sense, where you can collect, pack into the main tasks of the day. 30 things in one head to put into memory is difficult, but if properly arranged, everything becomes easier. To make a good day, you need to see the plan for the upcoming day. To properly build your week, you need to write down all the main affairs of the week and think about their composition and location. Cases are actually productive activities that will be evaluated and paid for by someone.

Service - we do not go forward from this, we will not be paid for this, but without this we can not move on.

Emptiness - time was spent, the result - zero. In a business language, such cases are sometimes called Time-Devourers or Time-absorbers, in direct communication - by Emptiness or Figures.

There are sometimes empty and unconstructive negotiations, and overgrown meetings. Add all the time for each of these categories, draw a pie chart on the use of your working time.

If your result is like diagram No.1 (ratio 7/1/2), applaud yourself if the result is inclined to diagram No.2 (ratio 5/2/3), probably, it is worth changing something.

The boss will not pay for my quarrels with relatives, for my experiences, for my communication with friends and for reading interesting books. So this is not the Case.

What does not meet your goals, you do not need.

Of course, if you can show to the Chief that a brief conversation with your friend will give you the information you need, if a book raises your qualifications and brings a product that can be sold, donated and it will be necessary - that means it’s not a Void. "Talking with the virtual Chief" is an excellent device, but it gives clear answers only in the framework of working hours. And who can be the Chief in the framework of personal time? Maybe it’s you yourself when you think about the prospects and meaning of your life, when you are with a clear head and in full responsibility.

A friend knocks at you in ICQ - it will be pleasant to chat. Does your wife need this? To kid? Parents? No no need. How do you evaluate this "chat in ICQ», when you write your goals for a year, when you are building your future? You want it, but you do not need it. Means - it is not necessary.

Now, on the other hand, you have a picture of reality: a list of those cases that make up your life, those cases that you wrote down as the affairs of the day and business of the week.

And now the main question: what is called "Delhi" corresponds to your Goals? Do you do what you planned for what you wanted? How much does one correspond to the other? What is your usual day busy with, what do you have for a typical week - how much does it correspond to the goals of the year? How satisfied are you with yourself?

Analyze clearly, as in accounting. Is there a case? Under what article, under what purpose? What purpose does it correspond to? We look business - we search for the purposes. We look for goals - we look for things.

As a result, you can give yourself two important answers.

First. I am pleased with myself: I am a single-minded person. I am doing what I have chosen as Goals, I am doing what I need.

Accordingly, keep it up!

Second. I have new creative reflections on what I should do with my life. What I can and want to change in my life.

In this regard, of course, the following decisions are made: one, two, three.

Bring life to order

The goal is worth, I know that I want it and I need it. But I see that day after day I do nothing in this direction, do not do it, I’m busy all the time with something else. I told myself this, and now it will be difficult for me to forget this.

What will I do with this discovery?

It is clear that a person aimed at the result should have a match. The talker will not have a match. If you wrote one goal and the list of things on the other day, then you need to negotiate with yourself: either change the goals of the year, or rewrite the list of cases. Either do not puddle your brains and give up these things, or change your life and, waking up, do something different every day.

As a rule, in one degree or another everyone has to do both. So ...

Some goals should be abandoned. If a goal is regularly forgotten by you and simply does not fit into your life, perhaps you are simply not ready for it.
