Exercise «Remove «No»s» - the very beginning of the Distance, and I really want that from the very beginning work on the Distance was successful. In this summary, "chips" are collected, which will help to effectively remove «No»s from your speech.

We work out a conditioned reflex.

To work out a reflex to a treacherous "NO" or another word-parasite will help an ordinary bank gum. We put rubber on the arm and go with it all day. At the moment of "puncture" we delay it and release it. Sensations are not that strong, but you do not want to renew them again. After a while we get a conditioned reflex. And its usefulness is not in the prohibition of uttering any words, but in the fact that before applying such words we slow down and get time to think about the expediency of using them.

Reminder

For the exercise «Remove «No»s» as a Reminder you can use posters: Print a poster of different sizes (from the size of a pocket calendar to an A3 poster) in several copies and hang out over the apartment, office, garage. Where we often go, and where we will necessarily stumble upon the poster.

Game with yourself

This method requires an appropriate props - clothes with two pockets and 10 ruble coins in sufficient quantity.

To play on the first day, we take a decent handful of 10 ruble coins. Put them in your right pocket. For each «No» we shift one coin into the left pocket. At the end of the day, we recount the number of coins in the left pocket. All the small things from the left pocket we give or spend on someone (we sponsor a piggy bank of children, we buy apples to colleagues, watermelon to friends). At the beginning of the next day we put in the right pocket as many coins as there were at the end of the previous day in the left pocket. Then we act as on the previous day: for each «No» the coin moves from the right to the left pocket. If at the end of the day in the right pocket there are still coins - progress on the face. If the coin was not enough, the next day we start again with the previous figure and additionally we pay a fine ( 100, 200 rubles - as we will define for ourselves). We finish the game when we start stablely performing the established APR.

This game clearly shows the progress in the exercise and adds excitement to its implementation.

Enlist support

To effectively perform the exercise it is very cool to enlist the support of relatives or colleagues.

1. We are implementing among the staff

Excellent if this exercise is implemented in the working team. This will give us the maximum number of observers during the day. However, the motivation for colleagues can be very different.

• First, you can all crouch together. Both useful and fun.

• Secondly, you can play. For example, three "leaders" of the day (or weeks) can buy sweets or fruit for colleagues.

• Thirdly, you can get a large transparent piggy bank (in the form of a three-liter jar or aquarium, for example), in which for each «No» everyone will contribute a certain amount of money. That there was interest, given to the bank in the end it is possible to start up on premiums.

• Fourth, you can score, arranging, for example, "week" races. The winner chooses the time for the next vacation first.

2. Introduce in the family

It’s great, if you can connect the family to this exercise. To add excitement and motivation, you can use different game schemes.

• First, you can, like at work, arrange week-long races with the whole family. The prize can be anything: useful goodness, a week’s exemption from washing dishes, the right to choose a place of rest, a certain amount of money.

• Secondly, you can play teams. For example, my mother and daughter want to update my wardrobe, and my father and son want to buy a new navigator in the car. Two banks are put. Female team for each puncture puts the agreed amount in the bank of the male team and vice versa. The winner is the one who will quickly fulfill his desire.

• Thirdly, you can play as follows: invite children to follow their parents. On the fridge we hang this table, in which the children for every mom and dad «No» will happily enter the wand:

A mom and dad for each such wand at the end of the day / week / month (as agreed) give the children 10 rubles each.

1. List of substitute phrases

For certain situations in which «No»s often skip, you can pick up the phrase-analogues, write them out on a sheet and put this sheet where at least 2-3 times a day your eyes will catch on.

Examples of situations:

• "No" as an extra element skips at the end of the question: "Are you going to a distance, no?", "Will you drink tea, no?".

• "No" as a refusal to a direct request: "Will you be an apple?" - No, "Can we meet tomorrow?" - No, "Can you provide a report right now?" - No".

2. We train to hear «No»s and replace them.

• First, you can learn to hear «No»s when listening to songs. As it turned out, «No»s is not a rare occurrence in them!

• Secondly, you can read the texts and look for «No»s in them. And for each phrase found, it is necessary to invent several alternative positive options.
